Anki Deck & Course Creator

Location: Remote
Type: Freelance/Part-time (15 hours/week minimum)

As an Anki Deck & Course Creator, you will develop engaging, story-driven language courses and build high-quality Anki decks for new languages as well as improve existing ones. Your work will directly shape the learning experience of thousands of language learners worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create natural, level-appropriate dialogues and short scenes for 50-lesson story-based language courses (A1–B1).

  • Develop a consistent storyline with recurring characters, cultural elements, and light humor.

  • Design user-friendly Anki decks aligned with LoF’s teaching philosophy.

  • Select and structure vocabulary (~2500 high-frequency words per course) with controlled introduction of new terms.

  • Outline grammar progression and label the grammar focus for each dialogue.

  • Update and improve existing decks based on learner feedback.

Requirements

  • Experience in learning and/or teaching languages.

  • Native or proficient in English and at least one additional language.

  • Strong writing skills and ability to craft simple but engaging dialogues.

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent vocabulary and grammar pacing.

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for beginner learners.

  • Experience creating language-learning materials is a plus.

Content Creator

Location: Remote
Type: Freelance/Part-time (15 hours/week minimum)

 

As a Student Worker / Content Creator you create YouTube videos and shorts to expand our reach on social media so more people discover Languages on Fire.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Creating video scripts on the topic of language learning

  • Recording English-language YouTube videos based on the scripts

  • Coordinating with our editor and thumbnail designer to ensure a high-quality final product (no editing or design skills required)

  • Uploading and publishing the videos on our social media channels

  • Analyzing video performance and continuously optimizing for more reach, clicks, and subscribers

Requirements

  • Passion for language learning

  • Excellent English skills (C1+)

  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking on camera

  • Creative sense for storytelling, visuals, and trends

Student Worker / Operations Assistant

Location: Remote
Type: Freelance/Part-time (15 hours/week minimum)

As a Student Worker / Operations Assistant, you will assist in developing and testing language-learning products, supporting marketing initiatives, and helping with business operations. This role is ideal for students looking to gain real-world experience in a dynamic start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and testing of LoF language-learning products, including Anki decks and courses.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns, social media content creation, and community engagement.
  • Help manage administrative tasks and communications.
  • Reach out to potential business partners.
